4th of July Fun Run

Kick off the celebrations of the day with a 2.5 mile Fun Run* in Downtown Ridgefield! Free entry and no registration required. Just show up with your friends, family and festive spirit! After the run, join in on free Zumba in the Park and keep building energy as we prepare for the parade.

  • Location: Davis Park, 337-441 N 3rd Ave, Ridgefield WA 98642
  • Date & Time: 7:30 AM Check-In Begins, 8 AM Run Start
  • Route: Start at Davis Park, run south on 3rd to Pioneer Street and over the Overpass to the Ridgefield Waterfront, then return to Davis.
  • Who: This run is open to all ages and abilities! Runners, walkers, strollers, waddlers and 4-legged participants are welcome.Please keep pets on leashes.

Participants will receive a limited edition “Ridgefield 4th of July Fun Run” medal at the finish line, while supplies last.
*This run is sponsored by the City of Ridgefield and supported by the Ridgefield Runners.

Zumba in the Park

Come enjoy some coffee and check out venders from 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM. At 9:00 AM Join Craig and Rhiannon get the energy flowing with Zumba until 10:00 AM. This is free to attend!

10:15 AM
Pet& Kid Pre-Parade

Kids that want to participate can meet at the corner of Pioneer and 3rd at 10:15am. Wear your patriotic colors and parade for the spectators along the parade route. Parents are welcome to walk along and are responsible for your child’s safety and ability to participate. The kids will choose to walk east up Pioneer, or north on 3rd Ave for 4 blocks before returning to their parents. All tamed animals welcome. Animals must be on a leash at all times and please be prepared to cleanup after them.

11 AM
4th of July Parade –
Route can be viewed from 4th Ave west on Division, south on 3rd Ave, east on Pioneer ending at 8th Ave. 

10 AM – 5 PM
4th of July Festival in Downtown Ridgefield:

Enjoy all the food and craft vendors along S. Main, Pioneer and in Overlook Park.

Children’s Activities: Buy your kiddos a wristband for $5 and they can enjoy all the activities unlimited, all day.

Overlook Park: Hi-Fidelity Entertainment with street dancing

Dancing on the street corner and plaza led by Craig Brown.

Live entertainment on stage in Overlook Park after parade.

2:30 PM
Pie eating contest:
Five categories, ages 6-15. Sign-ups are first to fill time slots, day of event at the Souvenir booth in Overlook Park

If you would like a custom annual 4th of July shirt, they are made on site the day of the 4th.  Come check out the new design each year.  They are $15 each. Also available in Youth sizes.

Parking

Parking available at Costco Wholesale at 519 S 56th Pl, Ridgefield. There will be a FREE C-TRAN Shuttle to the school bus turnaround located off N 8th Ave.
Avoid the crowds!

AM/Arrival Shuttle: Begin at 8 AM, final departure to Downtown at 10:10 AM.

Shuttles will run approximately every 20-30 minutes.

NO SHUTTLE DURING PARADE

PM/Return Shuttle: Begin approximately 12:30 PM, final departure 5 PM

Pick up at Union Ridge school bus turn-around located off N 8th Avenue to shuttle back to Costco. Shuttles will run approximately every 20-30 minutes.

Ridgefield Waterfront parking all day, 109 W Division St (cross the railroad tracks on the Pioneer Street Rail Overpass). FREE Shuttle to Ridgefield Community Library available. 

BEST ROUTE to the general spectator parking is to detour north on Royle Road or Reiman Road to NW 289th Street and come south on Main Avenue. This route will avoid road closures and backups navigating through downtown.

ADA Only Parking at the Ridgefield Administrative and Civic Center, 510 Pioneer Street. 

No parking the night before. 

No parking on the Pioneer Street Rail Overpass.

Detour Route

Road closures will be in effect in Downtown throughout the morning, causing backups. Pioneer Street will be CLOSED at Hillhurst for the parade and detour will be required.

The BEST ROUTE to general spectator parking and the boat launch is to detour north on Royle Road or Reiman Road to NW 289th Street and come south on Main Avenue. This route will avoid road closures and backups navigating through downtown.

Restrooms:
Portable toilets are available at the following locations:

  • Ridgefield Administrative and Civic Center (510 Pioneer)
  • 5th Ave and Division
  • Davis Park (Mill and 3rd Ave)
  • Next to City Hall (3rd Ave and Pioneer)
  • Overlook Park (Main and Pioneer)
  • There is also a public restroom at Overlook Park (Main and Pioneer)
